West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the year 2025. A total of 78 positions are available. Education Qualification:- Applicants must have Following qualification

• Candidate Should successfully completed Diploma Certificate in Civil Engineering from the state council for engineering & Technical education or its equivalent.
• Candidates having higher qualification in civil engineering may also apply

Pay Scale:- Level 12 of the Pay Matrix of ROPA-2019 Age Limit:- The maximum age required is 37 years. This age is calculated as on 1^st January of the year of Advertisement.

• NOTE:- For applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories of West Bengal, the maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
• NOTE:- For applicants belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC) categories of West Bengal, the maximum age limit is relaxed by 3 years.
• NOTE:- In case of PWD of 40% and above as per government rules, the upper age-limit shall be relaxable up-to 45 years.

Application Fee:-

• A non-refundable fee of Rs 150/- and processing charges Rs 50/- and Total Application fee Rs 200/- is applicable for Unreserved, EWS, OBC categories candidates.
• 50/- as processing charges for applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
• No Exemption fee is applicable to SC/ST/OBC to other states.

Selection Process:– As part of the WBMSC Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) selection process, candidates will first appear for a Written Test. An interview stage might be included depending on the recruitment rules. Final selection also involves document checking.
